Gazprom Neft Implemented Rupor Automatic Alert System in Four Subsidiaries

Production operation of the Rupor-Service automated warning system began at four subsidiaries of Gazprom Neft. It allows to quickly inform employees, emergency services and regulatory authorities about key operational indicators and incidents, as well as to notify mobilization signals and situations in the area of civil defense and emergency situations, including during drills.

The main users of the system were the central engineering, technical, production and dispatch services of Gazpromneft-Orenburg, Gazpromneft-Sakhalin, Gazpromneft-Yamal, and Gazpromneft-Prirazlomnoye. Their employees successfully completed training on how to use the functionality of the new system at training sites in St. Petersburg, Tyumen and Orenburg.

The Rupor makes it possible to use SMS, e-mail, as well as multi-channel dialer with the function of converting text to voice and voice recording for notifications. The system allows the operator to create and run alerts in a single interface window, track their status, log the delivery of SMS and emails, as well as record responses to voice alerts.

Immediately after installation, the new system was applied in special tactical training exercises on the Prirazlomnaya platform, which performs oil production in the Barents Sea. Just a few minutes after the training incident was detected, Rupor simultaneously informed the members of the emergency situations and fire safety commission of Gazpromneft-Prirazlomnoye, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Marine Rescue Service, the border department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Arkhangelsk Region and other local and federal authorities and services by making robotic calls, as well as sending SMS and e-mail messages.

Alexander Gurin, Head of Gazprom Neft Central Dispatch Department:

«We carefully assessed the needs and risks of our manufacturing enterprises and decided to start scaling the Rupor system at subsidiaries producing oil in severe climatic conditions. Now the safety of these assets is backed up by a convenient and reliable system for quick mass alerts. We plan to continue developing the system and connecting other companies within the perimeter of Gazprom Neft».

Ralif Gilfanov, General Director of Gazpromneft-Prirazlomnoye:

«We were able to evaluate the capabilities of the Rupor in practice during the exercises conducted on the Prirazlomnaya platform. The new system allows us to transfer messages about incidents and their status much faster and more reliably using telephone communications, SMS-informing and e-mails. In emergencies, every minute counts, so timely notification of responsible persons and emergency services is an extremely important element of ensuring safety».
