Gazprom Neft strategy in industrial and environmental safety and labor protection aims at achieving the Zero Target: no detriment to people, facilities and the environment.

To achieve strategic targets all of us – the personnel, contractors, and partners have to operate responsibly and safely. Therefore, the Board decided to introduce Environmental Safety and Care provision into the Corporate Code.
I believe our common visions in the sphere will develop Gazprom Neft into the safest company in the industry.

The Committee for industrial and environmental safety, labor and civil protection continued to operate at the Board in 2016. Gazprom Neft Board Chair Alexander Dyukov headed it. Its meetings considered the implementation of the safety and labor protection strategy and discussed best safety practices.

In 2016, the company continued implementation of the project to enhance production safety that was launched in 2015.

Company activities in promoting industrial and environmental safety, labor and civil protection are regulated by the provisions of Russian legislation and international and corporate standards in the sphere. The main corporate document of Gazprom Neft, which determines activities and commitments of the company, is the Policy in the sphere of industrial, fire, transportation, environmental safety, labor and civil protection. It operates in all subsidiaries and stipulates strategic aims, commitments and responsibilities in the sphere of industrial and environmental safety, labor and civil protection.

Company policy for industrial safety

Allocations for industrial and environmental safety, labor and civil protection comprised 41.7 billion rubles in 2016.

The Corporate management system for industrial and environmental safety, labor and civil protection is enforced at all production facilities of the company and corresponds to the requirements of international OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.

In 2016 Gazprom Neft continued to restructure industrial and environmental safety, labor and civil protection management system to comply with the latest approaches to the management in the sphere. A new industrial and environmental safety, labor and civil protection structure was formed in the shelf project block.

The work in 2016 decreased the number of incidents at company facilities and further decreased the LTIF rate.
